Connect a MIDI keyboard

Connect and power on your keyboard, open the piano in a compatible browser, and choose MIDI. Select the input device and play a few notes. MIDI carries note events; it does not record microphone audio.

If your keyboard disconnects, reconnect it and refresh the MIDI device list. If scoring consistently feels late, adjust input latency compensation in Preferences. You can also use the on-screen or computer keyboard.

Start practice

Use QWERTYU and ZXCVBNM to play white keys, numbers and SDGHJ for black keys. Arrow keys shift octaves.
